This week in the Silver Icing Spotlight: Easy Street Pants <3 I have these pants myself, and I LOVE them! In fact, I just wore them to my vendor’s event this past weekend, so I even have a few old and new selfies. We’re going to be a little picture heavy on this post, I’ll start with the professional ones though 😉
Silver Icing Spotlight: Easy Street Pants
Let’s talk a little about our model Kendra’s measurements. We use her consistently, and stylists and customers alike have come to use her as a guideline for fit. On a personal note, she is 37 years old, a mother and a school vice principal (how down to earth is that?!). I’ve not had the pleasure of meeting her yet, but I hope to next year at our Refresh conference.
And here are Kendra’s sizes and measurements:
- Height: 5’10”
- Size in bottoms: 6-8 or S
- Waist: 29″
- Inseam: 32″ (Kendra has a long torso. Some pieces look shorter on her in length than they might on those with a shorter torso)
- Size in tops: S
For myself, if I’m unsure of how an item might fit, I look to what size Kendra is wearing first. I’m typically the same size S in bottoms (but I like XS in our Exclusives, she wears S), so if the fit on her is good, I will stay with that size. If she sizes up, I generally will too. We are both wearing a size S in the pictures posted here.
With tops, I’m typically a S, sometimes an XS. Again, I look to what Kendra is wearing. If she’s wearing a S and it’s loose fitting, I might size down if XS is available. If she’s wearing a well fitting M though, I’ll size up to a M also.
Now, back to the Silver Icing Spotlight: Easy Street Pants. I’m always raving about how comfortable the fabrics in our pieces are, and these are no different. They are a silky material with a tiny bit of a sheen, but at the same time, they have a bit of a fuzzy look and feel to them. I hope this comes across correctly in the pictures, it’s honestly partly what I love about them. They also have looooots of stretch. Another favourite feature. You can see on Kendra that they fall at about ankle length. On me they are perfect at about a 30″ inseam. They look good rolled up too though!
These fit me perfectly in the booty and thighs, but on me, that generally means pants will be a bit big in the waist. These fit fairly well in the waist, but the amount of stretch does have me pulling them up often, and I’d do better with a belt. That is a common problem I have though, I don’t blame the pants specifically 😉 But while I need to pull them up, they don’t bag out during wear, they keep their shape nicely. They also washed well in cold water on the delicate cycle, hang dried.
I give the Easy Street pants two thumbs up. They are comfy, flattering, and well made. Personally, I think the slightly higher price point is worth the quality of these ones. They are on sale until Wednesday though!
Now for the selfies.
I’m wearing the Passion for Flowers Tee in the above pics. Another favourite, so soft and comfortable and a relaxed fit <3 This colour is currently available in sizes S-3XL, but there are 3 other gorgeous colours you should go check out!
This was the outfit I wore to my event this past weekend. The Blossom Bliss Top is perfect for summer! It has an amazingly soft inner tank, and the outer shell is a beautiful chiffon like fabric. It’s open in the back, showing off the solid colour tank and is flattering on all body types. The blue flower pattern shown below is available in limited sizes. But the solid coloured version (Sweetheart Top) in sizes S-2XL as well if you aren’t into flowers 🙂
If you have any questions about the above items, please feel free to contact me! Have a great week!
